I’m down 22 pounds… [and] I can do a lot more than I ever thought.
I started training seven months ago and have seen amazing results in that time. If you are serious about changing your life for the better… I would highly recommend [DFS] to anyone who is looking for a friendly, personable, and knowledgeable trainer.
Have you ever reached a point in your life where you’ve kind of stopped expecting a change? Before coming to DFS, I had reached that point. After a lifetime of being physically active, my body still kind of looked and still kind of worked the same. After my 20’s, my body started reacting differently to exercise, in that it kind of stopped reacting: I wasn’t changing or improving, and I was having to work harder to maintain what little amount of fitness I had. And then I quit working out completely two years ago after one of my shoulders essentially stopped working. I came to DFS exactly one year into a new fitness regime where I was trying to work my way back to the aforementioned (i.e., low) level of fitness I had. With Nick’s coaching, I was able to work out in each DFS class with modifications as needed - and with Nick challenging me to add on to each step of my success - until one year later, I have full shoulder range of motion and am working on increasing my shoulder strength and stability. I can now do rubber-band free pull-ups. Two years ago I couldn’t hang on the monkey bars at the obstacle course park!I’ve also learned a few things at DFS: - Forget skinny. Being strong is waaaay more fun.- You can succeed at DFS regardless of how you define it: Some days, I succeed by showing up, doing each rep, and finishing strong. Other days I succeed by not throwing up.- The confidence I’ve gained at DFS goes with me into the real world. And I think that is awesome!
